After months of struggling with controversies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali must have heaved a sigh of relief last night when the much-anticipated film Padmaavat finally got a green signal from the Shri Rajput Karni Sena. A special screening was held last night wherein the cast and crew of the film turned up in large numbers. But what’s particularly exciting is the wide smiles on the faces and the feeling of relief the team of Padmaavat entered with.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who have kept themselves away from the media glare, arrived hand-in-hand to attend the screening of their film. While Deepika plays the role of Rani Padmavati and Ranveer is the barbaric Allaudin Khilji in the period drama. Shahid Kapoor, who plays the role of righteous Rawal Ratan Singh, arrived with his family. His wife Mira Rajput and brother Ishaan Khatter were all smiles as they posed for the shutterbugs. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the filmmaker who has brought to celluloid the legend of Rani Padmavati, was snapped while reaching the venue.
