Kaalakaandi to be placed on 12 January at the theatres!

The film Kaalakaandi had launched it’s poster in June which created a lot of buzz among the audience and created heights of curiosity. But later due the some barriers faced from Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) which suggested cuts in the film the releasing date was delayed. The movie was about to hit he theatre on 8th September.

But now the wait is over. The releasing date is now assured and has been placed on January 12.

Kaalakaandi is a dark comedy. This movie is a story of six characters from different worlds, urban, ambitious, Mumbai and it’s dark, neglected underbelly.

Saif Ali Khan said about the film in a statement, “Kaalakaandi is a film I’m so happy to be a part of! It’s a cross-section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers all mixed together in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night!! Akshat has written and directed this unique movie…. and he is probably the only voice who tells it exactly like it actually is….Mumbai is a crazy, beautiful city and he has captured it perfectly in this very fun and very moving film!!”

The movie is going to be directed by Akshat Verma. the movie will see the stars like Saif Ali khan along with eclectic ensemble of Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Shehnaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amayra Dastur, Nary Singh, and Neil Bhoopalam. The film is going to be produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Flying Unicorn Entertainment.
