MOVIE REVIEW: Dil junglee, Tapsee Pannu & Saqib Saleem made the film bearable.
Ratings :2.5 star
Tappse Pannu and Saqib Saleem starring film Dil Junglee is a comedy romantic film which emphasize the friendship and love journey of the leads. The biggest highlight of the film is Tapsee Pannu’s performance as the dreamy English Professor Koroli who changes into businesswoman. The film is narrated through her eyes. The chemistry between Tapsee and Saqib is the USP of the film. Saqib is playing the role of an ambitious Delhi guy, who does anything to become successful in the way of using Tapsee for his personal benifits . Supriya Shukla is wonderful as his mom.
The music of the film is pleasant to the ears. Songs like Bandeya, Nadaaniyaan flow with the mood of the film. It is a gorgeous looking film and London is presented beautifully as a city for lovers. Talking about the content and writing of the film, it goes flat as you do not sympathise with the actors for most of the part. In fact, the first half is intolerable. It picks up in the second half but the climax is again damn predictable.
There are scenes that could evoke the emotions but it was not that much connectable to the audience as it loose the connectivity and was on the different track. While the premise of a second chance in love and an imperfect lover is refreshing.
Dil Junglee lacks the intensity, which could make it rise above the expectations. The actors are in good form but that’s all it was. The best part of the movie was just the visuals of the city London that will make you fall for it that’s it other than that theoverall film is unbearable .
