Sanju Movie Review : Ranbir Kapoor Is Flawless As Sanjay Dutt
The much anticipated film of Ranbir Kapoor i.e Sanju which is based on the controversial life of Sanjay Dutt is finally released. Film Sanju is full package of entertainment with lots of humor, emotions, struggle and drama. Sanju showcase the brief details of Sanjay Dutt’s life. Sanjay Dutt’s character played by Ranbir kapoor in the film is just unrecognizable and very difficult to believe that he is Ranbir Kapoor not Sanjay Dutt as he looks the same. The way he holds the body language and the style of Sanjay Dutt is really commendable.
The first half of the film kept the audience engaged with the story of Sanjay Dutt’s struggling life. It also showed the heart-warming friendship between Ranbir as Dutt, and Vicky Kaushal, who is from the US. The plot of the film Sanju unfolds, the bonding between him and his friend as well as with his father. The film is the struggling journey behind Sanjay Dutt’s controversial life. There’s an emotional journey in his every phase of life.
Sanju’s biggest accomplishment was the flawless performances of all the characters of the film, each and every character just nailed their respective roles. There are genuinely some shots where you won’t be able to recognize that you’re looking at Ranbir Kapoor, and not Sanjay Dutt. Vicky Kaushal shines, holding his own in the fun moments as well as serious scenes. And there is no doubt that Sanju is a great story and the direction added the flavor in it. As no one can doubt at the films of Rajkumar Hirani.
Through his first shot in his debut film, and the songs he sings with his girlfriend Ruby (Sonam Kapoor); through his fight with drugs and his stint in the US, where he spends his last few moments with mother Nargis; through his moments of friendship with a real friend (Vicky Kaushal) or a fake friend who gets him hooked onto drugs. Sanju is a brief of the struggles and journey of Sanju Dutt’s life. It’s dramatic, calculatingly exciting and package of all the fun element of his life. The film as a whole is an inspirational for those who quit things by facing little problems, it will inspire them to fight for what, one deserves.
