Actor-director Neeraj Vora, known for films like ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ and ‘Khiladi 420’, passed away on last Thursday morning at the age of 54. On Monday, several boolywood celebrities including Chunky Pandey, Indra Kumar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Bharat Shah, Avinash Gowariker, Umesh Shukla, Firoz Nadiadwala, Anang Desai, Rajeev Mehta, Ashok Pandit, Avni Modi, Arti Chabria, Sharman Joshi, Neetu Chndra, Vipul Shah, Deven Bhojani, Elli Avaram, Kishan Kumar Dua, Pooja Bhatt, Deepak Tijori, Abbas-Mustan and Pavan Malhotra attended prayer meet of Neeraj Vora to pay him last respect.
Vora starred in ‘Mann’, ‘Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega’, ‘Virasat’, and ‘Rangeela’ among others. A man of many talents, he also wrote for many films including ‘Rangeela’, ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum’, ‘Josh’, ‘Badshah’, ‘Chori Chori Chupke Chupke’, and ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’.His directorial projects include Khiladi 420 and Phir Hera Pheri. He was to direct Hera Pheri 3, but uncertainty loomed large over the project after he suffered a stroke in October 2016.
Vora was in a coma since the past 13 months after having suffered a stroke in 2016. Reportedly earlier this year, a room in filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala’s home was converted into a fully functional ICU for the director.
